dude....you can put just about any radio or speakers you want into any car providing there is enough space. If i am not mistaken the rears speakers are 6x9s and the fronts are are 6.5s. However, in the older vettes the front speakers in the front doors are a little trickier to get to than the majority of other vehicles. if i remember correctly you might actually have to take out the front windows to do the front speakers properly because they are installed at the factory before the front windows are installed....(i think this might only be true if it's a bose system). but nevertheless....any radio you want....the rears are easy as pie(a few screws and done as long as you have the depth for newer speakers with larger magnets) and the fronts could be a little tricky. there might also be a factory tuner box located in the storage compartment bvehind the passenger...under the trim. you'd have to open up the compartment..there should be like a plastic tray in there...you gotta pull the tray and the tuner should be under there. this is not true for all vettes...but it could be for yours....take a look for yourself...as far as the subwoofer....you can even hook that up to the stock radio if you want but you won't have the clarity and tight punchiness that a newer deck can feed to a sub amp because of higher voltage/low impedance RCA outputs...just gimme the 10 points now please ;)Is having two 4 ohm subs connected to an amplifier the same as having four 4 ohm subs?
if the radio has rca input in the back or the radio is new enough to buy the rca adaptors for....then yes you can add an amp with a subwoofer. If you want to change the speakers just simply find out what size they are (4x6, 5x7, 6x9, etc) buy new ones of that size and install them. You should be able to unsrew the old speaker easily, disconnect the wires from it, connect the wires to the new speaker and screw it back in..... not a hard job at allHow do i connect 2 amps together?

Yes u can there is mounting kits that u can buy from any store (ie.walmart,kmart).The kits are universal along with wiring kits that make the installation as easy as possible.More Questions & Answers ...
