Is it okay to mount an amp on an enclosure?

Ive seen it before, but could 2 12 inch subs damage an enclosure mounted amp?

i have had mine mouned on the sub box for 2 years and havehad no porblem its up to you to take the chance. my subs are 2 10" infinity gold pro series and hit like hell. but something you should think about is if someone broke into your car they would get your subs and amp in one shot. if there mounted sepertly you might save the theft of one or the other. i live in a bad town lol i always think of this stuff hope this helps.
