Question:
As wwe all know, the 1996 Ford Taurus has that huge, egg-shaped face with massive buttons and so on. I want to get rid of this and the cassette player and upgrade to a Kenwood CD player. Can this be done or am I stuck with the egg??

yeah, i've done one before, the kit is kinda expensive and a pain in the butt to install, but taking my time, it wasn't too hardCan I put a non-factory CD player in a 1996 Ford Taurus?
If you go to crutchfield.com, you should be able to find a stereo and a dash insert to replace the egg. I know if you go to that web site, you can get the help you need.Yes. There's no law that says you can't.
I had a non-factory CD Player installed in my Ford after I bought it.
Been wiring automotive stereo for years but this one scares me!?
Yes you can. But henry wouldn't approve of that!you can, but if you have digital heat and ac controls they may prove difficult to over come, and those dash kits are hundreds of dollars, if you have a regular manual (knob style) ac controller the kit will run between 75 to 100 bucks depending on where you go, you will have to wire a harness to a tuner in the trunk though.. have fun
yes you need this kit
