Question:
I have the sony xm sd22x and I just bought a new radio from pioneer and upgrading my old subs to 2 12 inch kicker comp cvrs. My question is can that amp handle those subs because I dont want to spend more money on an amp. I know that the amp wont handle its full potential but hoping that it can do the job without ruining the subs and should I bridge the subs to get more power?
* I know that Sony makes false advertisement on their amps. I found this out like months later when I got the amp.
What type of amp should I use?
Thanks

Track titles instead of the track number showing in car stereo? how to do thar?
I did some research on that sony amp and it looks like even if you bridge the amp, you should not have any worries at all. I have roughly 700 watts running into each of my 07 kicker cvr-12's. they bang insanely hard. Hope this helps. Let me know.the amp will handle it but the subs wont be a full power this means that u wont blow them as quick i dont know about the bridging part but ur amp can handle them just do drive by my house at 3 am bumping
What can I sell my hifonics bx605 amp for? It's in good condition.?
You really need to replace that amp, no matter what kind of subs you have. Sony amps are made very cheap, over rated power and very high thd, which can destroy subs. You should check out ebay, there are some diamond audio amps on there that cost right around the same for a sony only the diamonds will blow the sony right out of the water!More Questions & Answers ...
