Question:
i bought a sony xplod head unit not long ago and had circuit city install it. recently me and a buddy tried installing my amp. we ran the wires and everything, but when we went to plug the remote wire to the head unit, my head unit just turned off. wouldnt turn back on. yet i could still eject cd's and put them back in. did anyone else ever have this problem or can you help me fix this problem??

It sounds like you blew a fuse, you have two power wire, one is red, one orange. The orange is your full time power, red keyed power. I would say the red wire has a blown fuse in it.What size speakers can fit in an 01 extneded cab silverado?

ya i agree with the first answer, check the fuse thats built into the wires, and then check your car's fuse, generally if its the car's fuse, it wont eject the cd, and your cig. lighter might be on the same curcuit, with possibly a few other things, but yea, check both for a blown fuse, sony is not known for making alot of bad head unit's..More Questions & Answers ...
