Does the 2007 GMC Sierra stock radio fit in the 2006?

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 and want to play my MP3 player through the radio. I have looked at some kits but they require that I disconnect the XM. I understand that the 2007 model comes with a MP3 jack. My question is does anyone know if the 2007 stock radio will fit in the 2006 model truck?

No it will not fit the plugs in the back are different and the bolt pattern is also different, try an Fm transmitter it's around $30 and you can even use it in your house to play your mp3
