How big the AMP and the SUBs should be to get the feeling of a live concert?

Has anybody even been to a USACi competition who gives these lame responses? The Scott Owens's Pioneer F250 hit 181.4 dB with 13 subwoofer and 52 amplifiers, not one. The F250 is completely sealed and is running in the Super Modified 5001 and up watt class. OK that being said, Digital Designs would be my choice of the two, only if I was competing. That said those subs are extremely power hungry and you would have to have an unbelievable charging system. That sub was designed for competition and will only really shine in a properly constructed SPL box, which would destroy it if used for daily use. If you decide to compete, check out some shows in your area. See what they are running, I can gaurantee you it won't be Pioneer. Personally if this is going to be used for a daily driver I would recommend Kicker. Read up on the sanction in both IASCA and USACi. Know the rules.

Where can I buy a replacement fascia for my in car Sony CDX-S2050 radio/CD player without buying a new radio?

This question really has no "right" answer. The "best" all depends on what you like or can afford, really.
A couple of years ago Pioneer set a world record with their top-of the line sub in the Premier line. A single sub hit something like 170 or 180+ db. If you've got the money to compete in db drag racing then your concern is going to be more about the enclosure of the sub and the vehicle itself rather than the brand of sub. Your list of subs will be reduced greatly just by the power handling requirements you'd be looking for, but there are still plenty of subs that can fill your need. I've heard Juggs and DD's and the JL W7's, MTX's new monster and the Pioneer Premier TS-W8102SPL is a 15" sub that handles 3000 watts rms and peak wattage of 8000 watts. Now it would require a heck of a lot of money just for the electrical system to run this sub, let alone amps, but it will stand against any other spl sub in the industry.
But again...it's all in the enclosure. You're just wasting your money if you purchase one of these $1K plus subs if you're just going to throw it into a box built with whatever is laying around. Go to your nearest independant shop (chain stores like Circuit City or Best Buy aren't really the place to help you with serious competition), and ask them about their experience with SPL competiton. But I hope you have a lot of $$.
Good Luck.
