What type of amp should I use for (2) Kicker CVR 15 inch subwoofers?

Question:
If I get them a amp that does 2 ohm stable then I need to get them in 4 ohm correct?and if get an amp that does 1 ohm stable then i need to get the subs at 2ohm? If I get them at two ohm with a ohm stable amp they will hit harder.
I was looking into memphis or kicker amps but open to suggestions they rate at 500 rms each.

Get a Kicker Zx1000.1. I have a Kicker Zx750.1 hooked up to a pair of Alpine 12" Type S subs and they hit hard. Don't forget that Kicker amps are underrated also.
