I have been running my system on the stock battery for too long now. I am looking to upgrade to a battery specifically designed for high powered audio systems. I am seeking advice on the various brands available such that are applicable for a '01 Honda Civic. Any help will be appreciated

THIS IS FOR EVERYONE! A car battery is only used for starting the car not running the accessories of the car. The altenator does that, upgrade your altenator to as much amperage as you want, you won't hurt anything by having a high-amp alt.The vehicle only takes the power needed to run the accessories of a vehicle.

Joe is right...but.if you play your system while sitting in the parking lot often then a standard battery will not hold up very well. They are not intended for cycling like that. There is company called Kinetik Power Cells and they make a direct fit for your car...check it to make sure. The model number is HC1400. It's sized for the Civics/Integras...I ordered one last night.list is $349...ouch...check with Sonic Electronix...they discount them...ALOT.FYI...I've used them quite often in numerous vehicles and they are a great battery.
