What is the cheapest and easiest way to install an after market cd player in 2001 pontiac grand am?
First of all I wouldnt recommend these subs, however to answer your question I will make a couple assumptions. I will assume your getting the 4ohm models that are capable of 380wRMS 1300 watts peak. If these are the ones your getting then you would want an amplifier that puts out 760 wattsRMS @2 ohms. If I were you I would look for a mono block amp (single channel). There is a sony model SONY XM-D9001GTR on ebay that is 900 watts RMS@2 ohms (about $130). This is more power than you need but thats fine. Turn the gain down and adjust it as needed. Its best to have too much power than not enough. Low power=distortion=blown speakers. How to hook up a 2 frad capacitor for my car stero system?
Ohms are the measure of resistance to the flow of electricity. Lower ohms, less resist. U need to know what Ohms ur subs are . Also it all depends on how you intend to wire your subs. if you decide to bridge them ( wire both speakers pos to the left + and both speaks neg to the right neg) then you will half the ohm load on the amp. generally speaking a decent amp will be at LEAST 2ohm stable. This will handle a pair of 4ohm subs bridged . also read up on ur subs to find what the max RMS (continuous wattage) they will handle. the 1300 is a PEAK power handling. find an amp that puts out about 1000w rms when bridged. this will do about 500 rms / subCd changer in 98 pontiac grand prix?

u can get a 2 or 4 channel amp that measures the amperage of your subs. ohms are what is used to measure the resistane of the circuit.
