Question:
The streo does not switch off when i remove the key from the ignition but there is no sound coming from it or any information on the LCD, and even when i lock the car and the alarm and imobiler comes on, the stereo light is still illuminated, all the 6 CD's are suck inside and the cassette as well. It even stays on over night. Driving in silence is driving me crazy.
what do you think is wrong with it and how can i solve it as cheap as possible, i know audi would charge an arm and a leg to repair it.

sounds to me like ou either have a short circuit in your wiring loom or the cd player has had it. get some radio keys from like a car shop which allow you to pull the radio streight out with ease. pull the loom out of the back of the radio and give it a clean with soem electrical contact cleaner or something like that and plug it back in again. it is unlikely that the fault will be anywhere else. other wise i think the stereo might have had it and will be much cheaper just to buy another one !!every time iv had a CD player screw up i use it to go to circuit city and get a nicer one
