I'm having problems with my car stereo. Can anyone help?

The stereo in my car only picks up 3 or 4 radio stations, when I used to be able to get tons. What's wrong and what can I do to fix it? Also, how will it affect my original car stereo when I hook up my amp and subs? Would I just be better off getting an aftermarket stereo?

What kind of amp do i need for these subs?

It will be a good idea to go with the aftermarket. It will have all the conne tions you need for an amp and will probally pick up more stations too.
