Help with car amp install?

I purchased 2 12's that I know are working (tested in friend's car). I have a Rockford Fosgate Amp along with a Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge amp wire kit. The amp is a P5002. Neither the amp nor the 100 amp kit came with a cable to connect to the power antenna or radio control. I hooked everything up as it should have been but there is no power to the amp. Should I be getting power because of the connection to the battery? A freidn stated that I will not get anything out of the amp until the power cable is attached to the radio or power antenna. Please help...Thanks...

The blue wire from the radio unit is a control to other devices, and is to be used as this. The "control" input to the amp -blue wire, must be hooked to this to work. alternately it can be hooked to car 12v through a switch,, but the antenna/control wire from the radio is much better and cleaner. There is no current to speak of so a small wire can be used,, 16 gauge is fine, as would be 18. Single wire is all you need. The wire from the radio goes to +12V when the radio is turned on, that's how it works.

you need to hook a remote wire up i hooked up to my radio(where your supposed to hook it up then i ran off a toggle swith jik i get pulled over and ill say what noise?

If i bridge a two channel amp and run 2 8ohm subs in parallel, what load will the amp see?

those guys are crazy u said ur amp is has no power that means one ur positive cable is not hoked up right try to cheak the fuse that is next to the batery or second it is your ground u arnt getting ground or u need a better contact if the remote wasnt connected the amp would still be running power to it and allso it has nothing to do with ur anntena.

This has nothing to do with your antenna. Things to check:

Ground wire from amp to ground, Make sure you have a ground to BARE metal.

Check the fuse on the amp.
