I have a IPod Nano and a Mercedes Bclass with the Comand Sat-nav system.?
As Sparky said, the only thing this really does is change the internal air space of the box. For instance, if you had a box that was made to 1 cubic foot of internal air space, once you add the woofer, that air space may be reduced to 0.8 cubic feet due to displacement of the woofer. If that woofer requires 1 cubic feet of air, then this is less than optimum and may not sound as good. If you reverse the woofer, not only do you gain this air space back, but you also will get a reverse displacement. Meaning that you will actually increase the air space very slightly due to the speaker. Also as Sparky said, this may not always be desirable. How do I play my MP3 Player in my car?
The only other reason why someone would mount the woofer backwards is if the speaker itself has high visual desirability. Meaning that the speaker looks very good from the back and they want people to see this. However the ones that do this and know what they are doing will make sure the box is matched air space wise to the speaker exactly for best sound.

Actually it's to change the internal volume of the box. This sometimes produces less than desireable results.how would I connect a concept ccd1200 to some old school fosgates rfz1810 or at what settings?
