I recently sold my car which had the Delphi unit for XM radio. I purchased a new car and had installed (professionally) the Audiovox Xpress Roadie. The sound quality is terrible, lots of static and noise. I'm taking it back to the store to get another device, any recomendations?? I'm desperate because I love XM but am getting frustrated.

For being professionally installed, it sounds like they did a bad job! It's not the Roady's fault. Unfortunately all new satellite radios have much weaker FM modulators since the FCC cracked down on them. There are solutions to this, though. You should get the wired FM modulator relay. It's about $20-$30 depending where you get it. It runs from your Roady directly to your car stereo and injects the FM signal right into it for better quality sound. It goes in line with your FM antenna and shuts it off when you use the satellite radio. I'd go to the place where you had it installed and have them put this in too since it requires you to have access to the back of the car stereo.

There is another option that gives your factory stereo an Aux In for the best quality sound. The adapters are around $70 though but it goes through where you'd have a CD changer hooked up so no FM signals could ever interfere and gives you the best sound quality possible since it's a direct connection with no modulated signal.
