Why do some people do not like Audiobahn?
that is a hard question, because i never heard of the brand. but i will try. what ever the rms is on the box or in the manual you should match it with an amp, and don't worry about the peak power.The issue is not "rms" from the amplifier as it is the power out from the amp. "RMS" could only be measured by a single tone and an AC voltmeter across the amplifier out put until the speaker coils strike the bottom of the speaker magnet coil slot. I say a single tone because the average music is not going to always cause the speaker to be driven so hard as to cause it to hit the bottom of the coil slot. Unless of course you just drive the speakers so hard that even a whisper of sound sends the speaker coil to the bottom of that coil slot in the magnet. I personally would not cause the speaker coil to be driven so hard that it strikes the bottom of the magnet coil slot. That is just added noise that distorts the sound of the music. If you like it, do it, but eventually you'll be replacing those speakers.
