What is best to do for big speakers in a hatchback???

Question:
i have a big speaker box with 2 speakers in it. i just have it sitting in the back of my hatchback. would it be better to leave it that way or build a box to the whole hatback area and put the speakers in that?

well dont mess with it if thats what it has try to get an amp that moves them to ur preferences and. when u make the box with more air space than its suppose to have then u get a problem with distortion and stuff like that.
so to be safe just go to a speaker place to get some tips on what u should do
