How do I unhook a sub from the back of the car stereo?

Question:
It isn't a factory stereo, am I going to have to take off the dash to get to the back of the radio?

Answers:

How do I take off the original radio, but install a tape player, into my Chevy Malibu 98?

Not sure what you mean as subs are connected to amplifiers...but if you mean the RCA wires, they're just push on so you just pull them off. This may involve removing the stereo if you can't reach up behind the dash and unplug them.

If you want to unhook them from the radio, the subs themselves aren't going to be wired to the radio, they'd be wired to an amplifier, and the amplifier would (should) have RCA cables coming from the subwoofer output of the radio.

where can i get a cd player for an astra?

If it is an older radio, and it isn't equipped with subwoofer RCA pre-outs, then you'd have to look at the amplifier that's connected to the subs, look at the RCA cables coming from the radio, and unhook the corresponding cables from behind the radio
