Switching Pioneer head units, should there be a problem?
Using a 12 volt light bulb to discharge it after you've removed the fuse by the battery will do the trick. If you don't have a fuse, it would be wise to put one in. The fuse should be no more than 18" from the battery and have a rating of the total fuses on the amp.what extra adapters or interfaces do i need to install hu in04 dodge ram?
You can use the same light bulb to charge it back up by connecting everything back up and using the fuse holder as the charging point. The bulb will light and over a period of time (10-20 seconds) it will get dimmer. When the bulb goes out, the cap is charged. Basically, your going to put the light bulb where the fuse was.

amp install on 2003 dodge durango sxt?
Capacitors can hold a dangerous charge for hours. Try not to discharge it all at once, especially not through your flesh. You need to take certain precautions. The capacitor may still hold an electric charge.
what amp do i need for 2kicker l7s?
You do need to take some precaution. You need to treat your cap like a battery, because that is essentially what it is. It is a good idea to discharge the cap of all electrical energy. You could do this by running a 12 volt component off of it until the cap has no more energy. Also, make sure you do not let the cap terminals touch any part of the car body, or each other. If it's a short period of time you're removing it, you can just remove it from the system, 12 volts won't hurt you if you touch the terminals. be very careful not to short it, and don't let your power wire short either. it will discharge on its own eventually, but if you know it's going to be out a while, just wire a headlight to it to discharge.
