Question:
Almost 2 weeks ago I bought a Dual xd7510 reciever and I love it. It has way more features then my old stocker (1996 Lumina) radio. But one thing is that I swear that after the new reciever got put in the radio is quieter! How could this be? Did I do something wrong, I think I have like 2 weeks left and then the 30 days risk free thing is done. Any help on how to make it louder would be appreciated. I don't know the specs of the old radio but the new one is 55 watts peak output per channel and 17 rms.

Hook up subwoofers to OEM CD player in '02 Monte Carlo?
Chances are pretty good your new stereo has much less distortion than the stock stereo. Goes without saying that aftermarket stereos are better than stock stereos. Except in a few cases where high end stereos are installed, Nakamichi as a perfect example. The original stereo in your car could have possibly been more powerful, but I doubt that. Check in your aftermarket stereo manual to see if there is a Loudness setting.
What adapter i need to play my mp3 player with my car cd-reciever that has auxilary input?
I just bought a new stereo and aside from the Loudness setting, I can increase the standard sound level of each input souce, i.e. CD's, tuner, and AUX. Check your manual for a feature like this.
Does anyone know anything about subwoofers?
If you turn your stereo up all the way but it is still quiet, you might not have enough power. But check the manual!
