Why did my cars bass go away?

Question:
i just recently got a new cd player in my car, and before the cd player my cars speakers had some decent bass, i even got compliments for it. After the cd players installation the bass is pretty much all gone. How do I get it back? Do i go to best buy (the installers) and ask them to do it? ive already put the cd players bass setting all the way up and it didnt work. What happened? I want my bass back! D:

Torn subwoffer?

Yeah on older models they had some crazy ideas of equalisers, sounds like your new cd player is a bit duff. Try lowering the treble and mid and raising the bass, this amplifies the bass, it just means you have to turn the volume up a bit.

Need to know how to type the code on a radio installed on a Hyundai Galloper Exceed if only 6 numbers.?

I would definitely take it back to the installers...Best Buy...if you have an external amp they may have wired it incorrectly. If you say the CD is only thing lacking bass my guess would be that they wired the amp remote on wire to the power antenna lead on the new headunit. The new headunit may have a dedicated amp turn on lead that works whenever the headunit is on. Sounds like your amp works when tuner is on but when CD is on the amp shuts down. If it's no bass at all they may have missed the lead altogether. In either case.they should fix it.they have a lifetime guarantee on their work if you paid for the install.

Vibration-absorbent pads for speakers?

what kind of CD player is it? you may either need to change the preset, or turn up the lower frequencies. It really depends on what kind of CD player it is. Try looking for a menu button or a setup button. Or let me know what kind it is and i should be able to help out

Subwoofer Mounting?

This problem has nothing to do with what any of these numb-nuts had to offer you. Factory car radios use very low watts (7 or 8) and high resistance (8 or 12 ohms). This produces fairly decent sound from cheap paper cone speakers and a cheap radio. Your new CD player plays out 16+ watts but only at 2 or 4 ohms. Your CD player is fine, the installation is fine, your factory speakers are the problem. Get aftermarket speakers and your have your bass back!!

How to tell if your amp is blown?
