Hello. Ebay is a fine place to shop, but I always recommend doing business with local shops (not big box stores) because they can take care of you through the whole transaction and they are there after the sale. If you are building a system on a budget, then these are okay amplifiers to use. Lanzar used to be a good company several years ago. Thanks to the economy and the fall of popularity of big stereo systems and the number of manufacturers out there, they eventually sold out. Now there stuff is imported. As far as the Legacy brand... that is Pyramid. Depending on how old you are will determine on how much you know about Pyramid. The Legacy line was developed by them as there "premier" line of product since the Pyramid name was all cheap junk. If I am not mistaken, Pyramid now owns Lanzar. So with the history lesson being said, Using the sub you have listed, the Power Acoustic 15, you wont get the max potential out of the Lanzar 2600D because the sub is dual 4 ohm and that amp needs to run at 1 ohm for best performance. You can only get a 2 ohm load out of the 15. Not to mention the THD (total harmonic distortion) of that amp is pretty high. (bad on the subwoofer) It says 800 watts at 2 ohms, but I am assuming that they are measuring that at 14.4 volts. The first time your sub hits, the car voltage will drop at least 2 to 3 volts, thus lowering the power output of the amplifier. The other amplifier will not work because of the ohmage of the subwoofer. To use the other amp, you would need a dual 2 ohm subwoofer. So if you are dead-set on using these brands, you either need a dual 2 ohm sub with a 1 ohm mono block amplifier, or use the sub you have listed but use a 2 ohm mono amplifier, or use a dual 2 ohm sub with a 2 channel amplifier. Just remember that when you are looking at car audio amps and subs to look at RMS power capacities. Forget max power or peak power. Hope this helped. Live Loud!
How can I determine make and model of car radio without face?
Hmmm,I have experience with both the Subwoofer ,and the Lanzar Vibe276 ~ http://www.lanzar.com/itempage.asp?model... (I know that's not the Amp size you're looking at,but that's the one I have) ,and i've had that Lanzar Amp for over a year now and it's still in top ,however the size I have,I don't recommand it for that type of Sub ,for the fact it will fry it in no time (just so you know) . I would tell you to get a Lanzar Vibe series ,however, don't get one with too much watts ,maybe less than 1000 if you can . Just giving you some helpful advice so you don't end up spending uneeded cash. Also, Legacy is also cool, well,I haven't had any more recent,so I cannot tell you on the quality of that one,but I do know they were good.
