Question:
since all hifonics amps are rated in rms does this mean for exampe their BXi 2006D model which can put out 2000 watts rms @ 1 ohm can put out 4000 watts max @ 1 ohm. Thanks

ya it means that amp will run 2000 watts contiusily at 1 ohm but max watts does not even matter if u even hit the max watts u would only hit that for about 1/10th of a second so that rating is basically usless and is just used for advertising basically. but to answer your question yes the max would probably be around there somewhere. just make sure your subs are 1 ohm stable subs and can handle that power. And just as a tip out of experience hifonics over rates there amps by a couple 100 watts. But i have never had the BXI bench tested so i don`t know. good luck tho.
