dual voice coils have 2 connects on the back of the sub. so you can hook up 2 amps or you can hook up 2 subs together with that. there is just a second set of connectors on the sub

Usually a give-a-away would be that there are 2 sets of terminals on the Sub! i.e.(+/-)&(+/-)

If your sub only has 2 terminals in the back it's NOT DVC.
If your sub has 4 terminals then you guessed it bud...It's DVC.
