How deep are the 2003 civic sedan front and rear speaker slots?
exactly what the name says. 1 is a 1channel(mono) and 1 is a 2channel(stereo). mono amps are usually better for subs since thats what theyre made for. 2ch and 4ch amps are better for speakers and give much better power than the amp in ur cd player. Is there any way to hook up a CD changer to an 1997 Audi A6 with a factory Bose stereo?
A one channel amplifer is used for a base speaker. The 2 channels are for left and right.1 channel amp for monoraul or u can say for subwoofers, where 2 channel amp is meant for speakers, but capable of running tweeters & subwoofers.
How can I get rid of the static when I play my radio in my truck?
1 channel amplifiers almost always only have a full/low-pass crossover. This means that you would use low-pass for subwoofers and full-pass for door speakers.2 and 4 channel amps have full/low/high-pass crossovers for use with any kind of speaker. A few 2 and 4 ch. amps only have a full/high-pass crossover for use with full-range speakers or tweeters.
**Full-pass, or full-range, allows all frequencies to reach speakers. Full range is used on 2way(and up) speakers or component speaker systems.
**Low-pass only allow the low frequencies to get to the sub. This makes the bass clear without hearing mid-range or treble through them.
**High-pass, which 1 channel(mono) amps usually don't have, only allows high frequencies to reach speakers. This is used usually for tweeters, but you can use it on full-range speakers to 'block the bass' going to them because bass distorts them at high volumes.
1 channel amps usually are class 'd'. This is a different kind of amplifier chip than class 'a, a/b, or t'. Class 'd"s are more efficient than 'a' or 'b' but less than 't'. Class 'd"s usually have a more distortion than 'a, a/b, b, or t'. Distortion isn't as noticable at lower frequencies as it is at higher freq's. That, and because it's more efficient than 'a, a/b, and b' is why they are mostly used for subwoofers.
