Does anyone know were i can service my rockford fosgat amp and subs?
The current draw will be around 50+ amperes. To get a better idea, multiply the RMS watts X 2 then divide this by 13.8 then divide this by 2.5.
XM or Sirius? Which is better? What's the cost of each "unit" and per month?
This will be the average current draw with and average signal at the average volume level.
Can you bridge 2 amps together?
You will need to...
Woody. i have another question. sound system.?
Run a power wire of the correct gauge from the battery with a fuse no more than 18" from the battery to the amp. The fuse should be a total of the fuse rating on the amp.
Connecting a system remote wire of the head unit to the amp???
If you don't have an aftermarket stereo, run a fused (1 amp) wire from the ignition ACC to another switch to the REM (remote) connection on the amp. This allows for full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp. The switch is so you can turn off the amp at will so as not to give grandma a heart attack in the car.
If you do have an aftermarket stereo, connect the blue remote turn -on from the stereo to the REM connection on the amp.
How do i wire 2 svc subwoofers at 4ohms to read at 2ohms with a 2 channel amplifier?
The ground should be the same size as the power wire and securely grounded to the chassis of the car.
You can use a "line level converter" tapped from the speaker out of the head unit if you don't have an after market HU.
Is there any way to wire dual 4ohm subs down to 2ohms?
If you have an aftermarket, run RCA's from the output to the amp.

1800 Watts? First you need to know if they are actual RMS Watts or sound system hyped up Watts. For RMS the current would be at least 1800/12 = 150 Amps. The cable would need to be nearly as thick as a starter motor cable. If you had it on full volume without the engine running your battery would be dead after approx 15 minutes.
You probably need to add a deep discharge battery with a split charge relay to run it together with an uprated alternator.
Oh, and you also need to get ear defenders because there will be dangerously high audio levels guaranteed to give you permanent ear damage.
How big of a capacitor do i need for 2 4000W amps?
The best thing you could do for yourself is to read your instructions. If you don't have any check the manufactures web site. Call and talk to their techs.More Questions & Answers ...
