What is a chassis ground for the radio wires?
You may have seized the coil. Also it isn't a good idea to underpower your speakers. There maybe condensation on the coil (hopefully). Take them out and bring them inside and see if it will move once warm. If not you burnt it.What size amp will i need to power one12" sub, and two 6x9s?
Replace it with a sub that's closer to the power of the amp.
probably because it is too cold outside.
How much would you say this system is worth?
You really should have a capacitor but you've probably just blown the speaker driver. Is it my kenwood faceplate or the whole radio?
Do you have anything more on it? I can really tell you whats wrong with it, you need more info. I dont think is burn, Have you checked the wires to see if they are connected? is the amplifier power on? Check the most simple things first. You dont really need a capacitor unless is draining your battery, cuz I have two alpines 1500W RMS with two 750 amps pushing each one, I had a capacitor but it overheated and burned, but it still sounds and all.More info. we all need
What do you think of my dream caraudio set-up, what would you change?
However, the subwoofer probably couldnt handle the load you were sending it, therefor you are S.O.L.
What does a bass cap do? Do I need one?
nothing would really make it freeze but the cold weather. if it is that cold don't push on it and def. don't run it ... if possible... just wait till it heats up... it may just be so cold that it is just solid till it warms up... run the heat for a while and see if it frees up... if not stop by a car audio installation place and ask them. i am sure they can at least look at it and tell you...Is this Sound System NIce and poweful and a good deal?
what's happened is your voice coil has melted. the best way to fix it is...get another subOne of the allen bolts that holds the power wire on my amp is striped, what to do?
the subwoofer voice coil has heated up to the point that it has burned the wires in the coil and or melted the voice coil former. this is typical of a "blown" speaker. How do I drop the ohms on two 8 ohme S15 subs?
