Question:
my friend is gonna sell me 2 subwoofers 12 inchs and a 600 watts amp but ii dont know if 600 watts will pick up the subwoofers or the 600 watts aint nothing??
Answers:
What are some good subwoofers and amps for a car?
It's impossible to be certain without knowing what model the amps and speakers are, and you shouldn't buy it if you don't have this information and can't research it. Sony makes a 12" sub that's a 4-ohm single voice coil and is rated for about 350 watts. IF that's the subwoofer, and IF the amp is a mono amp that's stable for a 2-ohm load, and IF the 600 watt rating is RMS at 2 ohms, then it should be a good match. If it's a 2-channel amp, or that's a peak rating, or the subs are a different model with different power ratings, then it might be a different story.
My advice: DO NOT buy until you know more about the equipment and can do some research.
Building another box for my solo-barics 4x4's?
watts aren't everything. xplods are sony right? they are HORRIBLE. 250 watt JL subs sound million time better.Whats the best type of box for subs?
yes 600 will. especially if they are in a dual bandpass box.a 600 watt amp will push xplods but it doesnt matter what amp you have on those, they will sound bad either way. go with quality i.e. not anything you can buy at best buy or circuit city
What exactly do capacitors do?
You didn't mention for how much he wants for it all. If he wants more than $150 for all then don't do it.Noone here likes Sony. But if you've heard it and like it, and he's gonna give you a deal then, yes.
It's all about what YOU like. If you like it, then by all means buy it.
