What is the best subwoofer box for 3 12inch rockford fosgate punch hx2?
Go with the 12". But do us a favour and build a proper box for it. 1 8" speaker in a properly designed box can easily outperform a 12" in a poor box.The 12" will produce lower frequencies, which is what a sub needs to do, but if you're going with a 12" make sure you have 6.5" speakers in the front or you will have a dip in volume between 50 and 125hz.
Keep in mind that some lower quality speaker companies (sony, anything made by the pyramid corporation) use the same motor structure for their 8"s as they do for their 12"s. Read reviews and learn about what speaker specs mean.
What is a top-of-the-line 6x8 - 5x7 - 6x9 car speaker you would recommend?
It depends on the type of sound that you are looking for. The 12 will give you a deeper bass sound, perfect for rap, r&b, or such. The 8s will give you a tighter bass sound best used for rock or country. If you want THUMP, the 12 in a box will give you that, but if you actually want to HEAR your own music instead of a deafening blare of incoherent noise, then you should take the 8s, then add some smaller ones including tweeters for better sound definition.
Were can i find parts for my car?
The 8's will produce a minimal amount of true sub-bass. They will mostly produce mid-bass. Some 8's will drop low in a Infinite baffle installation. Depending on the 12, it may cover all the way down to 20hz. Just about any install of a 12 will play down to about 30 hz. Depending on the box, the 8's may not play much below 40 or 50 hz. The 12 would definitely be louder than the 8's.The comment about rap/ hip hop vs rock / country is in-accurate. The sound of the subwoofer depends more on the box you install it in. If you like rock / country, you should use a sealed or a sq vented with a low tuning frequency. I would avoid bandpass for any application other than rap/ hip hop / dance, and only if you like the sound of one.
If you're looking for bass like a pair of 12 or 15" home speakers makes, go with the 8's. If you want true sub bass, go with the 12. You will not only hear the sub-bass frequencies, you will feel them like pressure.
Can I change out the radio in a 98 ford taurus?
Either the 8 or 12 will make clean, defined bass that hits hard if you install them correctly. 12's do not sound muddy, unless your box makes them sound that way.
I installed my stereo an my 2 12's myself. more details below. SOME1 PLEAE HELP ME!!?
You definitaly want the single 12 inch. It gives a lot of thump, more than 8 inch ones. However, have you considered 2 10 inch subs? they are relitavely small (they seem closer to an 8 inch, but sound more like a 12 inch), and usually sound great. With the 12 inch you'll want a relitavely deep box, at least 6 inches deeper than the sub itself, if you want great sound. i've also found that using a single or dual bandpass enclosure gives the best bass.More Questions & Answers ...
