Depends on what is shutting off. If it is just the amp, check the wiring of your subs. You cannot run two 4 ohm svc subs in parallel to a bridged Power Acoustik amp. The only exception to this is if your particular amp is rated 1 ohm stable and can be bridged to 2 ohm mono. They made a few amps that were 1 ohm stable a few years back, but not many.Will a Pyramid PB717X put out 500 w RMS per channel?
If your head unit is shutting off too, it may not be the problem. Check your grounds. If your whole car loses power, it may be the main ground wire off the battery.

If your whole audio system is run off a single fuse somewhere (It shouldn't be), than that fuse may be it's way out. Replace the fuse, and install a new amp power wire that runs direct to the battery and has it's own fuse. The amp should not be wired to any pre-existing circuit. Even a small amp (<100 watts) needs its own power lead.

if you installed everything yourself, check your grounds. Loose ground connections cause this exact problem a lot of times. And like others have said, you may be pulling too much power and straining your alternator. I'd try a bigger capacitor firs, then go from there with other power supply.Turn your gains to a higher number.
