Question:
I am looking for a way to fix these speakers. They are 12" r.fosgate 800 watt punch series subs. They were purchased at a flea market for $5.00 and I thought it would be worth the 5 to check it out. These would make great replacements for the 10's I have now. Can these blown speakers be repaired? And how much do you think it will cost?? Where do I get them repaired??

Panasonic cd control to JVC cd changer?
Yes, they can be repaired. This is called re-coning the speaker. I would suggest looking in your phone book under "speaker repair" call a few of them, due to it costing different per shop. And they will ask you some questions about the speakers. Give them as much information as possible. Most of the information will be on the back of the speakers on a sticker around the back of the magnet. You got a killer deal on them. I'd suggest before you call for an estimate, call a few of your stereo shops, see if these models are still available, and how much. If not available, what model supercedes them and how much. This way when you call for an estimate for repair, you will know if what you are spending to re-cone them is actually worth it, or should you just go out and buy new ones.
