I'm not too sure of which brands are good, or which are better than orther, or which are the best for the money so any advice is appreciated. I am not looking for anything too fancy, I just need to hook up a 12" in sub and 2 speakers, I'm just confused about what brands are good.

If you want the Best for your Money, I would suggest Alpine, Pioneer, Sony (NOT an X-Plode), or even a Nitro Amp!!

I would Suggest you get a Separate Amp for you Sub, and another Amp for your 2 Speakers! A good $100 Amp like I got (Nitro 800W 2-Channel) works Great for a Subwoofer.
You don't need as Powerful of an Amp for your 2 Speaker.

First off, there are many good brands of amps. Personally, I have always had good experiences with Rockford Fosgate amps and Kicker amps. But stay far, far away from cheap brands like Jensen. Their quality just doesn't measure up. You get what you pay for.
