The lower the ohms the more watts your amp will put out. BUTT. never go lower then the amp is aloud. If you have two woofers at 4 ohms. if you wire them up where the + is connected to the+ of the other woofer and the same with the - the ohms is cut in half so now your at 2 ohms. + to + - to - is called parallel. two 4 ohm woofers connected parallel is now a 2 ohm load. that will hit a lot harder than a 4 ohm load which you will only get with one sub. two 4 ohm subs run series which is running + to - between the two subs will add the two together and give you 8 ohms which is not a good idea for car app.How would i start my own radio show?
simply stated ohms are a measure of resistance to current flow through a given circut so the higher the ohms of a given appliance the greater the resistence and the more heat built up and the less power actually delivered to the end unittry to go with the smallest number for ohms and also those subs should hit pretty hard but you might need a better amp. try to do parallel circuits to increase power output by the amp

This will:
Cost of a GPS Navigation System in 2003 Golf?
1) cause the amp to run hotter
2) increase the THD (total harmonic distortion)
3) reduce the life of the amp because of excessive heat
For more power, get a bigger system and run it at a higher impedance (ie. 4 ohm).
