My car speakers (rear) produces too much throbbing on a high vol. They r JBL speakers. What can b the reasons?

You are putting to much bass through them. Do you have an equalizer? This will help. Can you seperately adjust settings for the front and rear? Is it too much boom, or is it more like the speaker sounds like it is damaged? It can be one of several things, or a combination.
