it is the rating for the amount of power it takes to get to a certain volume level,the higher the rating, the less power it takes to reproduce x amount of soundthis does not mean one driver is louder than the other it is just one of the many figures you can use to evaluate different drivers
p.s. alot of manufactures are not honest about this number.
It relates to the weakness of the signal it can respond to. the more sensitive it is, the weaker the signal it can respond to.
