Do I need to amp My Kenwood KFC -x170 6.5 speakers? I have a Pioneer DEH-P6800MP head unit.?

Question:
The speakers say they can handle 2 - 40 rms and the head unit says it puts out 22 x 4 rms. I have no idea how to figure out what needs what. I know rms is the figure for constant output, but how do I match them up? Does 4 x 22 rms mean that each speaker is getting 22 watts or is it 5.5 watts per speaker? Thanks for the help.
