Question:
im playing to buy 3 CVR 12" kicker competition subwoofers. and also a kicker amp. but i was wondering if its possible to install 3 subs to a mono amp CORRECTLY ? or do i need to buy a 2 channel amp ?
Answers:
What Amp is better a 4 channel Rockford or a 4 channel MTX. Both are top of the line. Please help.?
Not knowing if you have dual 2 or 4 ohm I'll give you the method for both.
For dual 4 ohm, wire the subs like so http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/s... this will provide a 2.67 ohm load.
For dual 2 ohm, wire the subs like so http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/s... this will provide a 3 ohm load.

How do I remove the rear speakers from my '95 Chevrolet Beretta Z26?
i think you shold be able toTo answer your question, YES, you can put 3 subs on one monoblock amp. The one thing you will want to watch is what resistance your amp is stable at, the lower number, the better.
Who makes the loudest and hardest hitting subs?
For example, youre hooking to a 1 ohm stable amp you can hook 1 - 1 ohm speaker coil to it, and it's fine. or you can hook 2 - 2 ohm speakers in parallel (both neg to neg, both pos to pos) and it is still one ohm.
What cd players have the coolest or best displays?
check the stability rating of your amp as well as the resistance of your speakers. most speakers are 4 ohms, so hooking 3 in parallel will get you just over 1 ohm, and they will be stable.
I'm getting ready to purchase Sirruis satellite radio for my car.?
resistance of speakers add as inverses when in parallel, and add directly when in series (black to red between speakers, and then red to red and black to black on amp)
What is the true power of subwoofer/speaker with specificatins: Norm .40 W , 240W Maximum?
2 - 2 ohm speakers in series will give you 4 ohms.
Why does a cd tuner cost twice as much from halfords?
Basically if your speakers are 4 ohms or more, and your amp is 1 ohm stable or less, you should have no problem powering all of them with one amp (assuming you have enough power)
something else to think about is are the speakers dvc or single, I am running 2 p3 dvc off a RF power series T1500 at 1/2 ohm stable. thats a 2 ch amp bridged to 1 ch, and all four voice coils ran in a sieries, and be sure to back amp w/ a cap
Is there a Car FM Antenna booster?
How many woofers you connect to an amp makes no difference by itself. It's the impedance of each woofer, the wiring method, and the amplifier's minimum impedance that are important. 4x4 ohm woofers can be wired to 1, 4, or 16 ohms. I have 8x15's in my home theater wired series/parallel to obtain a 2 ohm load on my HT amp. If you buy 3x8 ohm woofers (4 ohm DVC's), series the coils on each speaker (individually), then parallel the woofers to each other and the amp, than you should have a 2.67 ohm load. If your amplifier is stable down to 2 ohms, you'll be fine. If it's stable down to 1 ohm, than get 2 ohm DVC's instead. There is no point in buying a 2-ch amp. Hope that helps.More Questions & Answers ...
