In my opinion, getting a good amp is probably one of the most single important pieces of equipment for your car. You can have the best subs in the world but they will only perform as well as your amp. Look into most major brand names like Alpine, Rockford, MTX, JL, or Infinity. I wouldn't go with any of the smaller brands with promises of big power because it's usually not a clean power. There's usually of lot of "outside" noise that gets into a poorly designed amp. Go to a car audio shop and have a listen to some amps. Some amps will make huge sound but some amps will be more clean.
