I got a 12" alpine r type sub (only one). what type of amp should i get?

i was told to get a one channel amp. is that what i should go with or what. the sub has i think 500 rms and 1500 peak. Please recommend some name brands. money is not an issue.

if money isnt an issue, ditch the sub and get a jlaudio12w7 and a jl1ooo/1 it is unsurpassed in deep window shaking lows and very loud, you will find that it shames that alpine something terrible twice as loud and three times as deep, its indescribable that these things can do what they do, you will thank me later,people will think that you have 2 15 inch subs you have to hear it for yourself go to your local shops and you will definately be happy that you did

get a pyle 1000w 2 channel amp.. its a good quality amp and at a cheap price. check the pyle audio website to check it out.. ps. i have one and it powers my sub really good
