Question about using a portable cd/mp3 player in a car?

Question:
The CD player in my father's car broke, so for now I'm going to give him my mp3/cd player to use while he drives.

Need help with a kenwood excelon kdc-x890 car reciever!!?

I'd like to hook it up so he can hear it through the car speakers. Would I better off with one of the cassette tapes that hooks in the cd players headphone jack OR these new wireless FM transmitters that I've only recently knew existed?

Car stereo?!?!?

Thanks.

Installing a toggle on the remote wire for my sub amp?

The Best thing to do is use the tape adapter since, it doesn't consume power avoiding signal distortion. For the FM transmitter via the antenna cable, I wouldn't use since there's always a little distortion from the radio station frequencies. I had one in the past for my ipot and for my portable CD player, and that always was a problem. They require to set the transmitter to certain frequencies in order to work. but your reception varies with your location in some places it will sound good , and with distortion on others.

If your father has a tape deck/ Cd player combination, then a cassette to headphone adapter would be the best, as it doesn't use any extra power, and it it works all of the time.

How good would these speakers be?

the FM transmitter is good, but the signal it produces can waver off the desired frequency, it uses batteries (or the cigarrette lighter), and the audio quality is not as good as the cassette adapter.

If he has only a cd player in the vehicle, then the FM
transmitter is your only option, unless it has an accessory input.

Having trouble with my subs and amp.?

The tape adapters cost less. They're inconvenient and ugly with poor sound quality, but this is just temporary, right?

It's not wireless. It basically adds an AUX port to ANY radio.

Is this anygood for a sub/amp set?

It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off.
