In my 1995 E320 there is a very simple pushbutton radio. The reception is very poor for Southern California.?

Question:
I have observed that the L. rear fender mounted radio antenna does not extend to a height of more than 2 feet above the trunk lid. Do you think if I install a longer antenna, maybe 3 to 4 feet long when fully extended, that I can improve the radio reception to a decent level. The problem seems to me that the antenna should extend to at least one foot above the roof line.

i need help with car audio?

The correct answer is no. The antenna length is based on the frequency that you are trying to listen to. The one in your car is designed for that frequency. There's a formula if you really want to know. It's 2108 divided by the frequency (100.3??)equals the antenna lenght. What you need is a fm antenna booster for you car antenna. You should check with Radio Shack.

how to connect amp to jvc kd-avx2 the rem wire?? what to connect it to??

Its more likely that some connection goin from the outside antenna through the car to the radio has been interupted. I work in car audio and I've seen it before. It has nothing to do with the height of it.

i just purchased a brand new 2006 jeep grand cherokee overland with the nav radio.?
