2007 mazda3 ipod hookup?

Question:
I recently installed the ipod hookup that mazda sells for their mazda3. However it does not work properly. Basically the screen reads EX 1:1. It will only play one song and you cannot change anything on it using the buttons on dash or on the steering wheel. I've tried contacting the dealer but they do not know much information on it. Has anyone else had any problems or know how to fix it?

we have the same problem with the 2006 and it was that the version on the unit was older and we didn;t get no help from the delaer they are LOST SO WE CHANGE the unit for this
