I have a 1000rms, 2000 watt peak amp and plenty of room in the trunk of my Mercury Mystique. I have two 12's at the moment but I want to get a single 15". I can't decide to go with rockford or kicker. I have heard both and like them. But i cant tell what is actually better. I listen to alot of rap/hip hop, country, and many other kinds of music. But i like alot of bass. Which subwoofer will be louder, a T2 15" in a 4.22 cubic foot vented box tuned to 35hz or a L7 15" in a 6 cubic foot vented box? The rockford has more excursion but the Kicker moves more air. Both have about the same db sensitivity. Help please. Here are links to them so you can take a look.

Well it really depends on what you want out of your system. Personally I would go with the kicker. But being a 15 square it has the same surface area as a normal 18 round. so for getting louder the kicker would probably win (considering box and which way you are aiming and all that). But the RF T2 will probably sound better...For a 10" Sub, would it be worth it to build a box, or should I just buy the walmart brand box?

2. Upgrade to a heavy duty deep cycle battery
3. Upgrade the "Big 3" - that is to replace the power wire between the battery and alternator, the ground wire from the battery to the chassis and ground strap from the chassis to the engine block or transmission to at least a 4 AWG wire.

listen to them at a local shop if there is one in your area. Personally (Ive been selling & installing both brands for over 10 years) The rockford will give you a better sound, although one contributor was absolutely correct when saying they both sound awful.
The t2 will give you a better sound than the L7 though. The L7 is very very mono tonal meaning it doesnt have a broad frequency response and almost all of the bass notes will sound alike. The t2 on the other hand is very boomy and you tend to lose alot of the punchiness.
