Question:
im going to hook three 225 watt tens to a 650 watt amp and im not for sure of what size speaker wire to use.
Answers:
Does anyone know where I can get the schematics for a Chevrolet Tahoe 01' stereo install?
use 12-14 gauge, no question. 8 gauge is huge! your amp could potentially use 8 for its power cable! 16 and up is too small for greater than 500WRMS. you are not running enough power to NEED 10ga., but it will work. multi-strand with a high count is definitely good and is really flexible.why do crossovers have gain control on them if they dont act as amps?

i would use 16awg, but 18awg is ok if you dont go over 300 watts. audio wire should always be stranded and with many strands.i have a mono rockford fosgate amp with 1800 wats max about 700rms and two 12 mtx 5500?
well wiring is one of the key components to a great sounding system. i mean yeah you can you 16 or 14awg wiring but ill tell you this the bigger the wire the more power you get from your amp to your speakers. try using 8awg wiring for your subs and i would use 6 to 4awg wiring for your power wire..Does anyone know where I can get Dawsons creek the 2 hour finale...?
I would use 12 gauge wire12-14 Ga. Multi-strand copper wire. (the more strand the better)
2000 ford taurus has CD buttons on system who can install CD to current system?
I'd use 10g. Those subs are going to be pulling a lot of juice from the amp. You don't want to put a strain on the amp, however, you also want to get enough poer for the subs to sound good. Be sure to get the RMS rating of the subs as well as the amp before installation. This could prove to be very useful in determining the appropriate wiring.More Questions & Answers ...
