How do i hook up my sub to my amp?

Question:
my sub is a planet audio(vxp108) 300rms but can only be wired 2 or 8 ohm, its a dual 4ohm voice coil type. my amp pioneer(GM-5200T) is 380 rms bridge but can not take 2 ohm bridge but in the amp's manual it says next to "load impedance" (bridge connection:4-8 ohm allowable) so right now i have it bridge in series but it sounds weak how can i bridge it to 8ohm is it possible and if so can i blow my sub,and will it sound ok?

Answers:

What amp for 2 12" KICKER L7?

No no. If you bridge it @8Ohms you'll only get about half of the power. That is why it's not as loud as it can be.
What you need to do is connect 1 VC (voice coil) to one side (channel) of the amp, and wire the other VC to the other side of the amp. This will give you the most available output from the amp.

Volume -vs- Gain ??

Good Luck!

Need help with getting a system for my blazer extreme!?

For now what Javin said is your best bet, But I would save up for a better amp that fits your needs better
