The info. that came with the sub suggest the box volume be between 0.85 - 1.25 cubic ft. with the port 3" x 8-10.5" long.
If anyone can help me design this with a few more details that would be great.

It's best to go to the library. You need interior baffles angled to ports...Look it up.all i know is that you should use MDF. that's what my bf did and his box held really well. better than a fiberglass one. as for the design, i can't help there. but def use MDF for a strong box.

I would highly recommend buying a prefabricated box. If you dont know what you are doing you will just be wasting money because its more complicated than you think. Try craigslist.Build a simple square box using 3/4" thick MDF. Make sure it is nice and rigid. Use wood glue before screwing.
Build it to the specs you have, then just add the port.
I recommend having the port and woofer on the same side -facing the rear of the vehicle.
Make sure it's (other than the port, of course) nice and airtight.
