POWER TURNS ON BUT TURN RIGHT OFF, AND THE WIRES GET HOT QUICK, WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS? AND CAN I FIX IT MYSELF? IF SO PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME ...

Your amp shuts off because it's a protection mode to prevent the amp from damage. check the power wires, look for bad grounding, make sure they aren't making contact, its probably short circuiting somewhere in the wires. check the wire insulation they may be broken somewhere along the wire. Inspect the speakers wires , normally when the amps detect a input voltage at the speakers outputs it shut downs. If the amp is getting extremely hot, check the fuses of the amp and the power line.

Disconnect the speaker wires from the amp. If the amp continues to get hot, it's bad. If it doesn't keep shutting off, than place a 9V battery on the speaker wire. If the woofer(s) move, than your amp's bad. If they don't, than the woofer(s) are bad, or there's a short circuit in the wire. Check the voltage at your amp's terminals, too.

Tc 3000 12 inch subwoofer versus re xxx 10 inch subwoofer?

Check on the amp where the power wire and the ground wire go and make sure that them are not touching that has happened to me before where they were touching and it would shut the amp off right away. I have never heard of subs being bad before and causeing the amp to shut off its something to do with the the Fuse or the where the wires hook onto the amp and if an amp gets to hot it will also shut down to protect it
