Well does my FM not work while my AM does?

Question:
my fm on my radio just does not work while my am is just fine. do i need a new radio? i have no idea what is wrong, why would one work and one not?

AM and FM signals are two different types of signals, check to see whether if you go different places with the radio if it gets better or worse. AM signals bounce off of objects and require more power to be broadcast. That's why its hard to get reception on AM especially under bridges and things. As for FM and why you are having problems your receiver of FM signals may be off-kilter or something so you might need to get it checked.
