How much would it be to install a decent cd player in to a 2001 BMW z3?
never heard of this 4for, i would call up to your local audio place or BestBuy and ask them. there prosIm having trouble with my subs?
The problem is, your gains are not set correctly. Gains ARE NOT volume knobs and should be carefully adjusted. There is NO doubt in my mind that this is your problem. Gains set incorrectly cause all kinds of problems. How to install a car alarm into 1991 acura integra?
Solution; adjust them correctly. Here's how.
CDs wont play in my car stereo?
1. Put all settings (EQ) on your radio to '0' (centered).
2. Turn the gains on your amps all the way down, bass boost off as well.
3. Turn your radio up as loud as you'll ever listen to it.
4. SLOWLY turn the gains on the amp up until you hear distortion, then back down a little (no distortion).
Your gains are now set (somewhat) correctly and your problem WILL be gone. I promise. You can turn the bass up a little at low volume, but remember to turn it back down before turning the volume back up.
Good Luck!
A couple of questions about my audio system.?
Unplug the RCA cables from your amp. If the noise stops, than the problem is probably the cable routing. Make sure that it doesn't run through your ignition harness. If the noise remains, with the cables unplugged, than your amp may be going bad. Unplug the bass knob and see if that gets rid of the noise. If it does, than the problem is either in the knob, or in the cable. The problem is NOT with the power cable or remote wire. If you have an Ipod or something, use an adapter to plug it straight into the amp with the bass knob unplugged. Make sure the volume on your MP3 player is low at first. If you still have noise, than your amp's bad. Hope this helps.buddy i had the same problem with my system when i removed my amp and replaced it with my new amp the sub would pump like a heartbeat when my music was paused and the more i put up the gain the luder the beat would get. what you need to do is run your power wire and your remote and rca cables down different sides of your car and also make sure your ground wire is grounded in the best spot. what i did was try different places to ground my amp untill my sub stopped making the noise i eventually found the right spot and it worked if this doesnt work for you . you can purchase something called a noise supressor which connects to your power and ground wires and stop the noise that you have. you can find it on ebay for around $25 aus or at your car audio store for a descent price.
