I am trying to install a sirius radio in a 2001 Mercury Sable that has a cd player and radio. Any tips?

Question:
The problem that I am having is that the wireless connection method is no good if you travel long distances (700 Miles). The fm channel that you need to select keeps changing. The radio I have does not have input jacks for satelite radio. It does not have a cassette player so I can not use a cassette adapter. Is there any type of CD apapter for satelite radio? Does anyone have any ideas. I do not want to buy another radio.

Does anyone know if there is a car stereo installation kit for a 2007 pontiac g5?

It's available at any retailer that sells Sirius. It makes a direct connection with the FM signal into your vehicle's antenna plug, and blocks competing signals when the Sirius unit is turned on so that you get clear sound. I've used them in many installations with excellent results. You won't get interference even if there's a local station broadcasting on the same frequency.

My cd is stuck in my car's cd player. Can anyone tell me how to get the cd out without damaging the cd player?

Your Sable is a little more difficult in that it doesn't use standard antenna connections, and the antenna plug is at the factory amp/tuner behind the left rear wheel well. But using a pair of antenna adapters (Metra 40-FD10 and 40-FD20) it can be done fairly easily. Just plug the adapter into the FM output on your Sirius radio, run it back to the trunk, unplug the factory antenna from the radio tuner, plug in the Sirius unit instead, and plug the factory antenna into the Sirius adapter.

How do u bridge an amp rockford if that helps?

If your factory stereo has CD Changer capabilities, you can use your sirius receiver in a direct-connect manner.
